***LOCATION CHANGE****

The location has been changed from the Ward Soccer field to Lake Nassau Park.

This park is still very close to the original location, you just continue down Upper Bay Road until the end of the road. You will see the park directly ahead.

This is a much better location because there is better parking, restrooms, and a large covered outdoor basketball court in case of rain.

Any questions or concerns about this location please leave a comment or you can email me. See you all next week!

Location Finalized

The location for the boot camp has been determined and confirmed.

It will be held at Howard L. Ward Park in Nassau Bay.

From Nasa Road One you go south onto Upper Bay Road.
Continue through two stop signs and the park will be on your right.
Turn right onto Martinique Drive to park.

See you Saturday APRIL 4th from 8:00 to 9:00 am!

Boot camp will start PROMPTLY at 8:00! Please arrive early enough so you are ready to go at 8 (shoes on, hydrated, etc.) - we will warm up together. If you need to pay for the session or turn in registration forms, please arrive 5-10 minutes early.

Additional Details

Okay, so I thought as the word gets out I should post something about what to expect during the boot camp workouts. Also - each camper will get a free t-shirt with the purchase of at least 5 sessions!

Dates and Time: Saturday mornings April 4 - May 23 8:00 - 9:00 am
Location TBD very soon.

I am going to limit the group to 12-14 "campers", to ensure that everyone can get proper attention.

The majority of the workouts will be focused on the traditional body weight exercises (push ups, sit ups, squats, lunges, etc. - note that all of these can be modified for different fitness levels) as well as movements for cardio, and also team competitions such as relay races.

Some workouts will be different stations where you rotate through, using equipment such as medicine balls, light dumbbells, Swiss balls, resistance bands, etc.

Wondering what to bring?
  • WATER - an absolute necessity!
  • cash or check if you have not pre-paid
  • Proper footwear - running shoes or cross trainers are optimal
  • Towel - optional
  • Yoga mat - optional
  • Sunscreen/bug repellent - optional

Hopefully we will luck out and have no rainy mornings, but to make it clear - if it is just raining, we WILL workout. If it is thundering and lightning, we WILL NOT workout. If any workouts have to be cancelled, there will be a makeup session (tentatively May 30).

Once again - if you have any questions please feel free to email me at megan.thornell@gmail OR preferably leave a comment with a question, so the question and answer will be available to everyone.

Coming Soon!

Boot camp in the Clear Lake area will be held on Saturday mornings April 4 - May 23 (8 sessions).

For now this boot camp will be once a week. Future camps may include 1-2 evenings during the week.

Location is TBD - most likely at a park near Clear Lake or in Nassau Bay.

Pricing will be $10 a session.
  • You can pay up front or bring cash/check to each session.
  • I personally believe in paying up front as it adds a degree of accountability, you don't want to waste your money!
  • You only pay for the sessions you attend: if you know you will only be available for 5 of the sessions, you only have to pay $50 up front. If your schedule changes and you can attend a session you have not paid for, just bring cash/check to the session.

I will update this soon with more information, I just wanted to make the basics available.

Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions or concerns at: megan.thornell@gmail.com
